Publications

We have a diverse collection of publications that encompass artists' catalogues, literature, and art books designed for children, as well as a special selection of biographies that are being published for the first time in Romania and translated into Romanian.

These biographies have been brought to life through a collaborative effort with Mobius Gallery and Pandora M. Our portfolio not only showcases a wide range of creative and informative content but also reflects our commitment to fostering cultural exchange and literary enrichment in Romania.

Dublă Expunere

Dublă Expunere

An editorial venture that served as a creative platform for ten writers and ten contemporary artists from Romania. This collaboration resulted in a unique hybrid book, where the visual elements complemented the short stories crafted by the writers. These narratives were inspired by the artworks contributed by the artists.

Over time, the project evolved and transformed into a series of public gatherings, bringing together the writers and visual artists who contributed to this publication.

O istorie a imaginilor. De la pictura rupestră la ecranul de computer

David Hockney, Martin Gayford

  • According to David Hockney, images are our way of describing what we see, but all image creators face a common challenge: how to represent three-dimensional objects and scenes on a flat surface. This results in paintings, photographs, or films, which can also be categorized by date or style. Hockney emphasizes that, regardless of the tools or mediums used, whether it's a brush, a camera, or digital software, images are at their core. To truly comprehend how we perceive the world and, by extension, ourselves, we require a history of images, and that's precisely what this book offers.

An Invincible Summer

  • The evolution of Codruța Cernea is exemplary for this tacit feminine liberation from the noisy feminist movement, a freedom from the pseudo-liberties brought by the cynical-critical distancing of the previous generation, trapped in a sterile demystification, whose consequences were, among others, a break-up with painting for most of those who had practiced it and brought it to the limelight of feminism, where it wasn’t much room for canvases and the act of painting itself. – Erwin Kessler – Emophoria, An Invincible Summer

Roman Tolici

  • What I like about Tolici is the indifference towards dominant aesthetic doctrines: he mocks the rancid avant-gardes who were calling the shots not long ago, who were forcing the artist to destroy any representation, lest he was accused of a crime against conservatism. He does not exhume any radical, surrealist, situationist, abstract or conceptual theory to justify his work, as he does not need to apply an ideology or a theory to illustrate his inspiration.
